Another question about RP...

Ok, this whole RP thing is very confusing when it comes to killing. My question is...what if a player makes an evil character that is just so evil that he/she kills for fun? There have been many people in the real world like that, and I just see it as a possibility on a (serious) RP server. Would you accept their application, also accepting their character's insane mental state and release them into the server? Or would you say no, change your story, YOU MUST BE FRIENDLY. I am not rooting for either side, I am just curious. I am also not saying that I woud like to be this kind of character, for my character is friendly and nice and stuff. But thanks anyway EWBTE

It would depend... Would they roleplay in a fashion that would indicate that they are utterly mad? Would they roleplay the dark, semi-reclusive man that makes friends with people, only to invite them into their house for dinner - without their 'guests' knowing that they are the main course?

Or would they just smack someone in the face with a sword?

There's a difference between roleplaying for fun and having a roleplay excuse to have your own kind of 'fun'.

Either. I mean, is doing the first option, which is a lot more roleplay, even allowed? We both know how many people would come complaining that someone killed them with no wrong done.

Yes. One would be allowed. Two would not be. That's what we're trying to avoid, for saying your evil in your application doesn't do anything when all you do is kill everyone on sight. As long as you RP it in game, it can make since.
