I suggest that players who have been banned previously to this point in time be unbanned in attempt to gain back some players to the server. Any players who truly wish to play on the server under the rules and regulation should be forced to reapply with either a new character in the whitelisting forum, or discuss how to properly continue with their previous characters to promote activity and RP.

This could be organized through forum activity, removal from the whitelist before unbanning, and if necessary, further conversation with staff leadership or assigned staff.

Players should not necessarily be held to a single negative action. I personally know several former players that regret their mistakes, and would do their best to play as a conductive member of the server if unbanned.

I do not believe all bans should be permanent - nor that anybody we have banned so far is eternally evil and destructive to the server. We, as a server, have a history of unbanning permanently banned players as a precedent - most of which situations have turned out for the better. If, however, players do continue to break rules they can always be banned again.

This not only would promote a new way of looking at punishment, but also define a change in the compassion of our community, staff, and server as a whole.

Blackout was never banned.. He actually didn't ever break any rules but flaming.

And those who really want back probably wouldn't need to be contacted.
