The Brotherhood of Roadbuilders seek a trustworthy individual to help in the excavation of The Quarry. Experience with magma and Shadow Fiends a must.

Applicant must be honest and hard-working.

Qualified applicant will be paid one diamond as well as any minerals found during excavation (with the exception of coal.) Food and lodge will be provided until job is complete.

The Roadbuilders are a true neutral organization. Any individual in there employ must respect the wishes of the Master Stone-Cutter. Individual may not use anything found in the Quarry to harm any person or property of any nation.

Those interested leave your mark and where a roadbuilder may find you.

It has come to my attention that I am in need of temporary shelter and a good-paying job in this new land. I wish to sign on to your highly esteemed Roadbuilding brotherhood, but only as a temporary worker, as I have other, more pressing matters to attend to. Do not get me wrong, dear friend, I do not wish an insult upon your fair establishment and brotherhood; I merely mean that others will be needing my assistance in other branches of the Kiwikian society. As I am part-time, I do not expect to be paid in diamond; rather, I simply wish for temporary housing and protection. If these things can be met, I will most assuredly help you in your endeavor.

The Roadbuilders seek an honest Hero/Heroes. Help is needed to clear a newly discovered cave network near The Quarry. It is vast with multiple levels, pitfalls and magma everywhere.

Several Roadbuilders have already disappeared and are feared dead.

Food and torches will be provided to the team. All materials and treasure found will belong to the individuals (with the exception of half the coal the party finds. This coal is used in forming the stones used in road construction.)

Leave your mark and a Brother of the Road will contact with further directions.

A message for Kubrick regarding The Roadbuilders-

I hope this reaches you; I do not yet know how reliable carrier wolves are. I recently stumbled across a signpost alerting me to the fact that you require aid in exploring a dangerous cave network. This happens to be my specialty; I cannot pass up a chance for excitement such as this. Adventure seems to be lacking in the lands of Kiwike lately, so this is most certainly a welcome opportunity. I assure you that your trust would be well-placed in me; backstabbing is something I do not practice. I have enclosed within the piece of parchment upon which this message is written a small square of cloth that carries my scent. If this should reach you, I ask that you kindly hold the cloth up to my dear wolf's nose so that he may find me once again.

Kubrick made his way from Blackrock through the ruins of Bamboo city. The journey back to the safety of Foundry was difficult. The pestilence that had infected the lands could be seen everywhere. He was happy to return to the hidden home of the Roadbuilders. The quarry was empty and only a few of his fellow Roadbuilders were left, packing up the contents of the Foundry. He made his way to his office where he came across an interesting site. Sitting patiently at his office door was a wolf-hound. He reached down to pet the friendly hound and found a cloth wrapped letter under its collar.

After reading the note he chuckled to himself.

"Interesting name, Geckosquid," he said aloud. "Perfect timing too! We might finally get to excavate those damned cursed caves."

He sat at his desk and penned a letter in response.

Geckosquid,

A very interesting way of delivering a letter. I must find myself one of these obedient hounds, But to the business at hand!

Your help in the matter discussed comes at the perfect time. As the Roadbuilders prepare for the move to the new lands, our numbers have thinned. Your help will be greatly appreciated. I will be travelling back to Blackrock to help with the defenses concerning the plague. I will search for you there. We may meet so that I can escort you to Foundry.

The letter was placed in the wolf-hounds collar and Kubrick followed the directions, allowing the hound to sniff the cloth. In seconds the hound was off making his way back to his master.

(((LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of using the wolves as our in-game mailing system. BIG KUDOS! I will use it from now on. Also, we will have to set up the met in-game through /MSG. I don't wanna post direct coords on the forum. I think the journey will be the fun part. ))))

Regarding: Seeking job.

Greetings my friend,

It has come to my attention that you are in need of help and it seems that i am in dire need of resources to maintain my castle. This seems to be a perfect solution for both of us if i were to become a temporary worker in your Quarry. I would say that i have a rather large quantity of experience with mines as i used to work in a mine before... Well, lets just say that some things came up.

I would rather not disclose my name in this letter as it may fall in the wrong hands. But for now you may call me "Main Digger" seeing as that were my rank back then. But if you are interested, name time and place and we shall meet.

If you would be so kind to give the reply to the very man that gave you this letter so he can find his way back to me if would be very pleased.

"I never expected such interest in the Quarry. Perhaps the tales of riches that have been found there are finally reaching the outside world." Kubrick thought to himself after reading the letter from the Digger.

The Master Stone-Cutter wrote a date and time on a piece of reed parchment. "Give this to your Master," he said upon handing the letter to the messenger.

"Tell the Digger that I will be leading an expedition from Blackrock in a few days time. I will be more than happy if he would join us."

Kubrick gave the man bread and water for the journey and finished gathering supplies for his own journey through the wastes. Back to Blackrock he would head.

(((Guys let me know when you can be online...I'd like to do this as a lead up into the New Lands of Kiwiki. I have set-up a few things that we can use to explain the 2.0 change. With the "infection of Bamboo" tied in as well.
