Graphics card problem
so, a few weeks ago on kiwike, i needed help with a graphics problem. Now i know everyone out here is infinitely smarter than me when it comes to computers, so im going to again ask for your help.

I have a notebooks graphic system with radeon HD 6xxxm series running on windows 7 64-bit.

i was trying to update my driver and it repeatedly says: AMD catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer.
The Version of your graphics adapter is not supported.

if anyone can help, please do, i can run games like planetside like this, but things like ace of spades and minecraft,m which i could run on my windows XP, wont even work now, and i cant seem to get my card/drivers to update

RE: Graphics card problem
This is what I found on the AMD Laptops FAQ
Quote:What is the AMD Mobility Radeon Verification Tool?
The AMD Mobility Radeon Verification Tool helps to prevent the installation of incompatible drivers.

The tool must be installed and executed. If the laptop is verified as compatible, a download option will be provided for the driver package.

If the laptop is verified as not compatible, the tool will give this error:

“AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer. Your computer does not contain a proper graphics adapter.”

So by the sounds of it, you're trying to install incompatible drivers; you sure you've got a HD 6xxx series card?

RE: Graphics card problem
they have a driver updater, and when i use it, the msg pops up that i showed in my other thread, it states that i have :
Graphics softwarer: Radeon HD 6xxxM series
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
The best driver for this device is: catalyst_mobility_64-bit_util.exe
