Am I the only one not freaked out by this?
I have seen at least half of these tricks before. All you need is a general understanding of the human anatomy to know where to punch and how to stand/fall to not attain any serious injury.
Sorry for bursting your bubble but this is not an unusual practice. Although I salute them for their fearlessness.
You mean having someone lay on top of a board with nails that's on someone else isn't unusual?
And it looked rather indiscriminate in terms of where they were hit.
No, laying on a board of nails is completely harmless because the pressure will be divided.
Also, when they were hit with the hammer they always had something in between to divert the pressure.
When that man was hit on the chest with the hammer it wasn't on the bone, it was on muscle, muscles absorbs a lot of pressure.
When they drove over that boy with a car they had ramps of bricks to make the car just drive over him instead of crushing him, you even saw that they had to abort because some of the bricks fell away.
I've seen some Shaolin Monks do better (not some TV thingy, I went to a performance). But yea, most of this is harmless, especially the breaking the tube light bulbs, who thought that was bad?
Anyway I'd like to point out they could have had some protective something or other under their hats, just saying.
There are alot of people who can do funny stuff like that.
And i've seen alot of it before so kinda not freaked out by this.
Monks also do funny stuff.
