RE: Most memorable moment in MineCraft.
Honestly, it's really hard to choose just one, so I'll list my top 3.

1: Revenge is a dish best served stealthily

A guy named Napkin killed me just because I walked up to him. Bent on revenge, I followed him and his partner for seven minutes, hiding whenever he looked around. I lost them, but then I found an abandoned boat in the middle of a lake. When I went to it, Napkin's name appeared underground nearby. I swam so that I was directly over his name and dug straight down with my bare fists. I dropped into a manmade passageway, and dove into a pool of water just as Napkin passed by. I quickly dashed into a large room used to grow trees to plan my next move. He had iron armor and a diamond sword, and I was unarmed. I took a quick look out at the hallway, and saw my killer looking at a chest. I seized the opportunity. I ran over to a chest next to him, took out the very diamond sword that he had killed me with...

And returned the favor.

2. The Haunting of Voidfury

A player by the name of voidfury was building his house. I climbed up to the rather high up area that he was currently working on to see if I could help. I walked in front of him, but he didn't react. Confused, I asked him if he could see me. There was no response. Suddenly, he pushed me off the tall building, nearly killing me. His carelessness would not go unpunished. I do not grief or steal, so there was only one option: psychological warfare.
While voidfury was busy at work, I got a sign and placed it on a tower of dirt in front of his house. On it, I wrote, "You are being watched". I then ran to a good vantage point (still not fully sure if I was invisible) and asked him to come to my shop. voidfury left the house and ran straight into the sign. He stood with his face pressed up against the sign for a while, then screamed. He asked me to come over and look at the sign. I walked over to him, but even though I was right in front of him, he continued to ask me to come. This was when I knew that I was invisible to him, and the real fun began.
I immediately changed the sign to say "I lurk in your nightmares... stalking...". He freaked out even more when he saw this, and ran into the basement of his house. Upstairs, I put down a glass block and broke it. He screamed, "GECKO THERE IS SOMEONE IN MY HOUSE!!!" and came out of the basement with a bow and arrow. As he was looking around to see who was there, I put down a sign right in front of him that said "Behind you". He shot a barrage of arrows at the sign, but I was already putting down another that said "In front of you". He shot at this one as well as I put down a final sign that read "EVERYWHERE". As he shot at this sign, I started repeatedly opening and closing the door, which he shot at, too. I then randomly placed blocks, and he frantically sprayed arrows everywhere. Finally, he said "That's it. I have to go" and walked out the door. I got a lot of laughs out of that one.

3. One day, me and tristo decided to catch a slime. We lured it up the stairs of his mine shaft and into a water trap that I had created. After building a cage around it, Suba came on and, impressed with our accomplishment, named the slime Ralph. Our green, gelatinous friend lived long enough to pose for a picture with Suba and tristo. However, when I tried to expand his enclosure with a pickaxe, the poor creature got too close to the sharp object and met his untimely end. R.I.P. Ralph; may he bounce up and down and make squelching sounds for all of eternity in the bedrock halls of Slime Heaven.

Well, if you actually read all that, then Congrats. I have had a few other awesome experiences, but some were at the (deserved) expense of players who actively play on the server.

RE: Most memorable moment in MineCraft.
Indeed. God, that would have been funny to be there when you were invisible...

OK, I got another 'favorite' time in minecraft...

I was playing on a non-whitelist server that looked as if it was bent on griefing. I decided to simply roam around while I was waiting for various whitelist acceptance letters to come through (one being Kiwike), so I didn't have much to loose if I got kicked out of a server that I wasn't going to be in much longer. Afte walking for a while, I ran into a house (almost quite litterally) that had a sign outside that said, 'Pleaz no grief. I new to online.'

Knowing that the man inside was either a genious or stupid, I walked in, only to fall down a shaft that was made open due to a series of doors and redrock. Seing a looming lava pit below me, I quickly right clicked on the door below me, and nearly killed myself on falling. Eating raw pork untill I got healed up, I causiously dug around the hole, untill I found myself in a treasure trove of chests. Picking one at random, there were 3 full blocks of TNT in it, and a diamond sword. I picked all of it up, and had at it.

The server crashed shortly afterwords due to a mysterious explosion under the starting spawnpoint.

That's great! That reminds me of a similar situation that I was in. Here's #4, then!

4. Grand Theft Minecraft

A while back, I discovered multiplayer. I looked at a list of servers and chose one at random, then joined it.
I'll admit, it was pretty cool. There was a main town with teleporters leading to various locations. I went through one that looked cool, and after making my way out of the spawn, which was made of obsidian and had an iron gate that could only be opened from the outside (I went through the door when it was opened for someone else), I ended up in a pretty awesome town. When I first visited the town, I was just looking around (I was fairly new to Minecraft) when some jerk ran up to me and said something along the lines of "Get the hell out of here". When I asked him why, he said something like "Because it's exclusive, you idiot" and killed me. Naturally, I was pissed, and a plan began to formulate in my head. It was time for some payback.

I went back through the same teleporter and promptly asked if someone could let me out of the spawn. The one nice guy in the entire town let me in. Little did he know that he was dooming the town forever by doing so.

I typed in a quick "thx", laughed an evil laugh, and got to work. First, I set my home to just outside the town wall. Then, I gathered cobblestone and, making sure that nobody was looking, blocked off all the doors of the houses. As a final gesture, I built a very tall 1X1 tower of cobblestone in the middle of the town square. I smiled as I realized that no one had seen me commit the act, and I sat back, admiring my handiwork. But that was just the beginning.

A few days later, a friend who also played Minecraft came over to my house with his laptop. He laughed when I told him what I had done to the town, and in a moment of incredible deviousness, I said "Hey... What if we took it even further?"

It was nighttime. All was quiet. I waited patiently in the shadow of a tall building near the entrance to the town for my friend to log on. Finally, I saw him name appear within the spawn. I dashed over to it and opened the gate. Then, we got to work.

You see, blocking off the door of the house that the guy who had killed me lived wasn't enough. I wanted to see him squirm. So, me and my friend first made the front of the house completely flat by replacing the cobblestone that I had used to cover up the door with smooth stone. Then, we went in through the back entrance, hollowed out the interior, and filled it with water until the renovated floor was covered in source blocks. Next, we sealed up the rear entrance and put a sign on the front saying that it was another player's house. Satisfied with our modifications, we left the town and built a hidden lair outside of its walls. Then, we came up with yet another idea.

What followed was a chapter of my history playing Minecraft that I would like to forget, although I won't lie by saying that it wasn't also one of the most memorable experiences I've had playing Minecraft.

Come night, me and my friend would steal anything of value from the citizens of the town who had been so unkind to me. Eventually, we accumulated almost a dozen chests full of loot in our secret lair. One day, I stole some things from the person who killed me. Once I teleported back to the lair, the victim of the act began yelling at an admin that I had stolen his stuff. I knew that the admin could teleport to me at any second and find hundreds of stacks of stolen items, so I stored the things I had just stolen as fast as I possibly could. I then sprinted out of the hideout and ran as close to the town as I possibly could. Just as I was far enough away from the lair that the admin wouldn't beable to find it, he teleported to me and asked me to kill myself so he could see my inventory. I happily did so, and all he found were the items that were actually mine. I breathed a sigh of relief, and teleported back to the lair. A few minutes later, me and my friend had to leave.

When I tried to log back onto the server, I saw that I had been banned. I smiled, though, when I thought of the look on the face of whoever found us out when they discovered a dozen chests full of their and other players' items. But this would not stop me. Now that I had had a taste of stealing and griefing, I wanted more.

A few days later, my friend emailed me with a suggestion for a server on which to resume practicing our old ways. The server was called Kiwike.

I logged on as soon as I made it on the whitelist with the full intent of destroying the server. But what I found was something more than just a server that was created to be destroyed. I made friends there, and I couldn't bring myself to grief and steal on the server. I wrote an email to my friend after playing on the server for half an hour. This is what it said:

I tried out Kiwike, and it instantly became my favorite server. I don't think  I'd have it in me to grief it. It's casual and fun, not to mention it has awesome
towns. I even donated ten dollars to it to help it out and get premium rights. However, you should help us build an underwater city, New Rapture, on Friday night. I highly recommend that you play on the server; it's awesome. But we definitely have to find another server to grief.

-Christian

I never did try to find another server to grief. Kiwike cured me. It made me realize that Minecraft multiplayer was about creating as a community, not destroying and taking what other people had worked to make or get.

Didn't expect the story to go there, did you? Awesome smiley

RE: Most memorable moment in MineCraft.
Actually, not really. However, it is always fun griefing griefers. I don't think I ever griefed just to be mean - I only grief griefers or those who say, 'Wow, I'm so good no-one could ever grief me!', then I consider it an open invitation.

The things they type when they find out that the 10 full stacks of diamond they griefed from people earlier are now in a chest surrounded by TNT traps triggered by redrock, God, they are hilarious. But that's a story for another time. I aint got time to post, gotta work on some homework, then Cerantian lore, then... I dunno, really.
