I use simple water bottles for wine. Jukeboxes give a sense of importance and opulence, in the fact that the diamond used in the contraption could be better used elsewhere. Rare colored rugs (such as cactus green wool in a snowy biom) also make things seem a little more regal.

This is a fabulous contribution. I was even a little uncertain that people roleplayed with "pretend" objects, too. Laugh

I do believe there was a certain party I went to on another server where dispensers filled with cocoa, sugar, redstone, bonemeal, and the like were used as confetti.

Gold watches can also be a symbol of status, or used as an excuse to leave a conversation swiftly. ('Wow, would you look at the time?')

Also, redstone torches - at least, in the roleplays I have seen - have been used as wands or canes.
