The more I read....
....the more I have a suspicion that I may be to old for this server. I am by no means an old man, but by simple postings I have a feeling that I have been around video games longer than most here have been alive. I love games and am currently going to school to make my visions a reality. I come from a time when the pixels and bits that make up minecraft were top of the line. I also drink beer legally, have had a live in girl friend for 7 years and have paid my own rent since 1996.

I'm not sure if anyone here has actually ever RP'ed online, with the exception of Cerce (whom is wise beyond his years.)

It is St. Patty's day and I am drunk! I have played games online before most of you could talk. I am going to school again to make games and minecraft has a lot of potential. This server has a lot of potential, but if you plan on really RP'ing a lot has to happen.

I will hang around for a bit and try and help establish some kind of guidelines, but until someone makes some rules this is gonna be a hot mess.

There are way to many chiefs and only one pot. Everyone cannot be a Mayor/Governor/Cheif/Leader/Founder. At somepoint you are gonna have to give up your 2 man village.

I love what you have done here, but server and forum need to be on seperate servers and strict rules need to be enforced if not properly RP'ed.

LOVE you kids!!!

True, the current server is not really keeping up. We are putting all our focus on finishing 2.0 at this moment.

I don't blame you if you leave for some time! Myself I don't really feel like playing until we've finished 2.0 either. We will send email to everyone on the forum when 2.0 is ready.

Have a good weekend, sir

Yea... I'm kinda dissapointed about my 4-man country... But I'm not willing to give up simply because we have two extremists (a vagabond group of vikings with little to no laws, and a group of democratic diplomats bent on having as many laws and regulations as physically possible... NOTE that the previous statements are steryotipical overexagerations), and Cerce wouldn't fit into either of them. He was already a member of a kingdom that was Viking-ish, and Gahma (the country that got decimated) was too week, diplomatic, and peaceful; so Cerce wanted the best of both a militaristic state and a controlled government. Otherwise I would have abbandoned Cerantia by now.

An yea, I'm younger than you by a lot. When you were getting your first paycheck, I was probobly playing my first (and favorite) RP-ish game ever, Legend of Zelda. But I read tons of books and am overall unimpressed with my current same-aged friends, save that of another friend who made Gahma and Impassil (which I will actually be posting about in mere moments). Thank you for the compliment; it's not everyday that you meet a good roleplayer on Minecraft.

Oh, on a minor note, I have some IRL stuff to screw with in school, so I might not be on for some time.

Well, 2.0 is a new thing to us, and even though we have builders, it has yet to be thoroughly tested by others. So theres still many problems that may show up, hopefully not much, but little things such as The Leader/Chief/Founder thing, thats up to the People. But for the two person village, we have it set so at least 5 people must be in a village for it to be officially a village. Me myself i love Role-playing, and to tell you the truth, have been doing it since i was of the age of six. Others here have never role-played before, but that doesn't mean they are not good at it. For instance someone could play a piano for the first time, and be a genius. Others though, may take some time to learn the fact of role playing, how it works, and how it can effect the game-play itself.

Theres also the fact of what you have said, age.
You have clearly had many life experiences, more than me, more than most people have had on this server. Some of us are young, some are in college, it all depends. But its not the age but the maturity. I meet twelve year olds all the time that can be mature than both my parents, and some of the college students i know. I myself, am only a teen, but find my age group quite idiotic.

And like Yotta said, if you would like to wait till 2.0, you are welcome to, i'm doing it.

And when 2.0 comes around, many people are going to jump the gun to get a good spot on the map, and get building to be better than ever. I see it as wait a week or two, then come back when everything has calmed down and some of the nation borders have been decided. If you still don't like the fact of 2.0, wait however long you would like (Weeks or a Month), and come back, and depending on how everyone is, make a decision to stay or what you decide.

I apologize for some of the people themselves, its a new thing where trying and hopefully it will turn out good.

Have fun in 2.0, Hope to see you there,
Cell.

I see what you mean, but just to put it out there, willingness to RP does not equal wisdom/maturity.

The original post was a bit of drunking frustration not directed at anyone. I sincerely believe, form experience, that you have to have a solid foundation for a successful server. If you indeed wish this to be an RP server than rules need to be well defined and easily accessible. The forums are hard to navigate when looking for some established rules. I have found very few post that really explain things. I give you guys a lot of credit with what you have created here, thus far. I am excited to eventually be a part of it. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

I want Kiwike to be successful and avoid the pitfalls I have seen on other servers/games I have explored.

There is some great idea's here. They just need to be thoroughly thought over and every detailed polished. Jumping from one idea to the other without completion will leave holes that will cause some serious problems later. When people get invested in their worlds, their time and dedication can create real attachment to their stand. I don't know where I'm going with this...

STICKY SOME RULES: that everyone needs to read and agree too.
CREATE RP FORUM: RP server must have this.

I did not intend to make this about age. I could give a shit how old anyone is. If you act with dignity and class, respect and maturity I got no problem. I know asses that are 60 years old that I wanna punch in the grill and 12 year old piss ants that I wanna take a switch too.

1. You write pretty damn well when you're drunk.
2. Well put. You have earned my respect. This is where I try to recruit you to join my underwater city that will be built in 2.0 under the nation of Helvanthar called New Rapture (that is, if you don't already have any obligations in terms of citizenship).

RE: The more I read....
LOL @ Gecko.

1. I have years of experience writing intoxicated. I have a BA in English. Some of my favorite authors were known drunks and I spent many years trying my hand at their craft.

2. I love the plans you have for New Rapture. In order for me to provide the server with the most RP that I can I will initially begin with the Roadbuilders and see where the the interaction in game take me. Your city will provide an interesting dynamic for the Builders. Something they will likely undertake, as they will like the challenge. Kubrick (the character) will be making his way to all the cities of Kiwike to negotiate with the heads-of-state to build the roads throughout the realm. I will do this In-game through RP interactions and the Role Play forum as soon as it is established.

I do believe the RP Forum will be put in when 2.0 forums are put in.

Nice. I think you'd do well with gecko if you ever officially set up a residence in his city; I haven't seen him actually roleplay, but he talks as if he has, and we share the same liking in many books. I do hope that you join one of the better roleplaying nations/cities eventually, or, better yet, set up your own.
Can't wait till you visit Blackrock/Cerantia to set up the roads! I won't be providing any oby, though... I seriously got my first diamond pickaxe Thursday, and that was due to a little incident between me, Kyga (who, imho, is the best semi-roleplayer of the Vikings), and Tristo, plus a healthy helping of revenge, pressure plates, and a good mixture of sulfur and sand.
