RE: Gaming Computers.
Get windows 7, it's better for gaming.

Also, you have to be absolutely sure to get current gen graphics cards! The GTX 560 ti is previous gen (as noted by the 5xx), make absolutely sure to get a 6xx series card (for example, the GTX 660 is only $230 on average but is noticeably more powerful than the GTX 570).

Also, you skimped out on the PSU again! I would recommend at the very least 600-650W, if not more. For example, this one would be good for you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6817171054

Also, that RAM is a bit overpriced, I would recommend this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6820313205

Also:

Finally, if you have any money left over I would recommend a bigger monitor. 21.5" would be good, but the bigger the better. If you must, you can get this part used for much cheaper. There's not really a big difference in older monitors and newer monitors other than their weight and power usage. For example, my brother got his 24" monitor for only $75 used.

Other than that you have very good choices Laugh
Going off of what you listed above, I came up with this for you: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ETFn

Besides those two games out of the millions, most of how a game will perform is still based on what card the computer has. My case still stands that he should splurge on a GPU.

RE: Gaming Computers.
I would not need it to do anything except ARMA2 and some other steamgames, if that information helps.

Trust me, that will change! I started with just BF3, Minecraft, and Skyrim, now I have grown to where I am now. Laugh

RE: Gaming Computers.
Yea, that case would be fine! Also, make sure to not include the mail in rebates in the final cost. If you've ever tried to redeem a mail in rebate you will know that it is virtually impossible.

What I mean by where I am now is much more games in addition to a much greater understanding of how computers work. Smiley
