Read teh Rules
Like the subforum says, this is just a suggestion.
I suggest, and this is only a suggestion, that the mods read the rules again. It seems like some of them haven't touched the page in weeks. Like earlier, a mod who will go unnamed said that breaking a block above a chest, stealing from the chest, and then putting it back is not allowed because breaking the block counts as griefing.
No offense intended.

RE: Read teh Rules
Mods are usually pretty good about the rules.. You may not realize it, but there is a reason they try to be lenient about the rules, they were made to be interpreted by the enforcer.

RE: Read teh Rules
The rules also state that Mods are always right
If the mod says breaking the block above the chest is griefing, then its griefing. Then is when you appeal on the forums. You don't appeal if you know you did something wrong, but if you did something that isn't against the rules and was interpreted to be against them, then you appeal.
And also, Moderators are very lenient about the rules for a good reason.
If mods where to ban everyone the first, time they broke the rules, or for say "Flaming" once in global, then there would be no people yet.
Think about it from this view as-well.
In my school Teachers under order of the Principal, are to remove cell phones as soon as they are seen, and then contact the parents.
Do they "Always" remove the phone, no, half the time they usually just say put it away, or next time they will.
I do see what you are saying though, as in what rules are what, and such. If you feel that a Mod is not doing this and that right, talk to them about it, etc. Maybe the moderator thought you where going to break the block and replace it with something different. (Ex. Smooth stone, then replacing with Dirt). Its better to do that rather than making a thread about it saying that they should read the rules, and etc. Its much more offensive to do it like this, than to stay under the radar and avoid any flaming issues etc.
Apologies for my lengthy reply.

RE: Read teh Rules
I'm not on due to updating and such, but it's completely legal to destroy the block above a chest and then replace

RE: Read teh Rules
I'll go ahead and make a general statement for all of the moderators by saying that if we're unsure about the rules at all, we go check to make sure what we're doing is necessary.
I hope this applies to all of us, at least...
Love,
Gecko

RE: Read teh Rules
The mods are good at not be overzealous with bans. It makes the server better and retains members.

RE: Read teh Rules
What was my first ban? I honestly don't know. I don't really ban people a lot of people anymore if they say they are sorry, unless they rage.
