Rome lasted longer than America has, than the British did, and arguably longer than most Chinese dynasties (depending on what you want to do with the Han) . While not perfect they clearly had something right. Also Rome is not that disconnected or distanced from modern culture, the legal systems are nearly identical, the lifespan of a Roman citizen 2000 years ago is tge same as that of the average American and the ideas of republic are closely modled off those Rome had.
Anyway this is degrading into a flame war that has nothing to do with geckosquids trustworthiness, I think there is enough here that people can make truer own decisions if an Admin wants to lock it up before it descends into the realm of internet argument.
