Suggestion: Spy chickens
To add an element of danger to lockpicking, I propose that chickens have the ability to report lockpicking to the owner of the lock. Example: I have snuck into Ian's house. I start picking his lock, unaware that I am being spied on a delicious egg-laying bird. The chicken sends a message of some sort to Ian that I am picking his lock. Ian would rush to his chest to see me still looking in it, and he kills me. This would add another reason to use a better lockpick, and would add a fear-like aspect

RE: Sggestion: Spy chickens
Lockpicking is already going to be absurdly difficult, I think this is overkill...although guard dogs would be pretty cool... they could attack trespassing people and thieves would have fight them off.

Well, it only would come into play during rare occasions

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'll see if there's a plugin out there already. Meh couldn't find any good ones.

I used to like skyrim related memes, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
This is somewhat relevant isn't it?

If this would even be possible.. You could make it so if you have a dog sitting on your Territories property and someone not on your friends list or someone not in your town entered your house the dog would automatically attack.

I looked into this briefly, the wolf AI is a mess, I doubt it's possible to do without a lot of work
