Problems With New Currency
I've spoken to a couple people about this, and they all agree... The new gold nugget currency is really hard to get used to! I understand that all you have to do is multiply the value of the item from 2.0 by 9 to get the Revamped value, but that's too much to do every time I want to make a shop. Plus, you have to take into consideration that fact that voting gives you more now than it used to (4 nuggets more).

Could we possibly switch back to ingots?

20GN - 4GN = 16GN

16GN/9 = Ingots = 1,77777777

Don't convert from 2.0 economics, zombie pigmen and such change the economic system anyway and 2.0 shouldn't carry over

Pavja is right. You weren't even correct in multiplying it by nine. Revamped is different from 2.0, and we're staying with gold nuggets

I suppose a list of standard prices should help.

Yeah, on the first server that I played on, the admin and I made a spreadsheet of the base prices. It helped a lot and that would be neat to have here. EWBTE

It is okay to talk about other servers as long as you don't mention them. As Ian just did. Smiley
Mod edit: Mention the name that is.

I wish I was an insane space wizard.

RE: Problems With New Currency
The "zero profit" pricing of ores based on minecraft wiki probabilities would be:

21.795 nuggets for diamond

.803 nuggets for iron

3.177 nuggets for lapis

.45 nuggets for redstone

If you are selling ores for less than this you are losing money on a probability basis (i.e. it would be more profitable to just mine for gold and keep the ores). That doesn't account for the time and resources spent mining, the fact that different levels have different frequencies or the fortune enchantment but it is a pretty good price guide for the absolute minimum amount prices could go in a nugget-economy.

RE: Problems With New Currency
So, do you think we could get a list set up before Revamped? I'd be happy to write it if you mods are too busy bannhammering.
Edit: Like I really, really want to write it Milk
