This is true Saera however, one of the biggest rewards in raids are killing people for their supplies. Once a raid party leaves a town the town citizens go into their secret hidden chest in the middle of nowhere and get all their yummy diamond and iron for defence in fear of a secondary attack. Once we have given them a reasonable amount of time to restock their inventories(Which isnt to long might I add) we return to collect their valubles. We offen repeat this method untill the town is poor.
Hence why the server shall have numerous ruins and abandoned towns.
This is not a frackin PVP server pwol.

RE: A discussion on raiding
Actually what we call Raiding as stealing food robing people in small scale and retreating. the actual Term for that is called iviking. It is not an english war it is a Danish war and maybe swedish but it was created to describe what vikings did

That's a poor strategy.
I make sure to leave all my valuables off my person, I only wander around with stuff I don't mind losing, so dying isn't going to really incite me to go get my good stuff.

RE: A discussion on raiding
I just, quite simply, don't value my materials. I value the experience they allow me to have.
The only time where I feel that a raid goes too far is when it is fueled with OoC malicious intent. The only raid that has occurred against me where I feel that the OoC intent had blended in to the IC intent far too much was the raid where the kiwiship 'Cerantian Power' was dismantled piece by piece, and a taunting video was made of the same raid members dancing around on the kiwiship 'Black Eye' a.k.a. 'Cerantian Honor'.
"One can concentrate so closely on the words of a sentence that one thereby misses the meaning. As can happen in any area of life. You must never lose focus on the larger landscape."

RE: A discussion on raiding
maybe you could only grief certain things (crops, houses, castles, ect.) if you were officially at war or had some proof of a pre-planned raid?
