What's troubling is that Ian never said anything about it. If he was never planning on using it for personal gain, then why didn't he tell a mod? I personally think he should be banned but permanent may be harsh for his case

In my opinion, you should all stay permabanned. You knew you shouldn't duplicate or exploit bugs but still you exploited it, and not just a little bit. I've seen the logs. That's a lot of diamonds. We've permabanned enough people for X-ray, and this is worse.
