Play it like Crusader Kings; strategic marriages and eventually small wars that are very quick and efficient. Or total war all across the map.

The thing I don't like about this right now, is the fact that just about everyone is going to be going to war once its possible, wether there is a real threat or not.

For instance: Rohan is a threat to us, so we decide to close our borders off (yeah, just look at their aggressiveness, they said they dont want anything bad from us or anything, but we still wanted our borders to be closed) whilst we close them, they start to advance their borders, to claim inside ours.

Moral of the story: Nobody can be happy.

Also, I really hope Yotta doesnt have it so anyone can just go to war. Honestly, what fun is it if one day you're chillin playing the game, Rping, mining, doing what ever you choose to do on the server, and then some nation much larger (and much more prepared) decides they want more land, and goes in to take over some nation of peaceful players. I don't want to fight anybody right now, minecraft has been very boring lately, and I would rather just chill when I actually decide to get on, not watch people who hate us for no reason try to take our land.

In the end, beginnings of wars will likely be declared on the forums, simply to ensure everything works out.

If you honestly don't want a problem with another nation, make an actual attempt to tend relations with them. If you're a leader that can only fight and takes no part in politics while preferring to chill, I wouldn't feel so bad when you lose your land.

1) Small groups against a common enemy in the past have banded together to drive out invaders. Friendly neighbors are always willing to help... so long as you return the favor & don't stab any backs (in the beginning, at least.)

2) Don't forget the famous "tribute" our barbarian friends taught us. Kiss up to anyone and they'll leave you alone.
