ive bought a paint ball gun withought asking people... I got a spider and found out they are terrible. im trying to sell it for $50 right now. its a good gun just bad name. Also tippman makes really good reliable guns as people tell me all the time

I would say it's the other way around. Airsoft is a realistic experience, while paintball is just using clunky 1940's-flamethrower-esque weapons that shoot rubber balls of paint.

Where I've gone paintballing, the latter are used. But anyways, in terms of ammunition, Airsoft scores major realism points. I don't see how it's more casual.
