Back On-topic. Yeah Cerce, you can tell the difference from 1.0 (Not sure if you played back then, i think you played pre 2.0) to pre 2.0, to 2.0. It is immense.

Well, if you like Gloomfrost maps, I know the guy, and can get you all of his maps plus his WC3 mapmaping tools... He doesn't use them any more. He's moved on to SC2, methinks.

Oh, and don't ask how I got them. Let's just say it took months of tracking him down, getting his email adress, and getting the email adress required to activate said email adress, etc.

(Sorry for yet another reply spam, but for those of you newbs: He did some work on Dark Deeds, many a LoaP (including the famous LoaP: Res Evil - I have Reborne, but I aint given it, the guy who 'bought' the rights to make the map made the map gradually instead of the standard incremental style (aka, everything is 20% done, instead of one thing 100%, one thing being worked on, the rest not started), so it can't even be played...), Werewolf: Transylvania, and quite a few others that are a very good mix between RTS and RP.)

And Cerce's, I can understand where you're getting at, of course that would be extremely annoying in Minecraft, but SotDRP takes up to 2-3 hours to just to prepare to RP, you'd have to have some kind of patience/intelligence to play that map.

And the people that played it actually called themselves "pro" RPers, which is just bullshit.

Well, I know SotDRP is very, very patience taxing (I can't sit through three fricken hours watching someone perfect ONE BUILDING when I'm already finished with a town)... but if you think about it, Minecraft takes months to set up a self-sufficient town and gather members and such. I don't claim that we are pro-roleplayers; quite the contrary, except for me and a few of my friends and a few of my 'enemies' (which I am quite glad to have, as no good roleplayer is complete withought a morally bad one), Kiwike is full of many newer roleplayers. I simply dissaprove of the emote-based roleplay because newer roleplayers can't pick up on it as soon as they need to in order to participate and defend themselves apropriately.

Well of course, emote roleplaying would be extremely uncanny in Minecraft.
But Minecraft is also different in one aspect, you start playing from the very start, you can get diamond armour in less than one day, and during that time you can roleplay.
It is rather hard to do so in SotDRP.

What I was getting at with the emote roleplaying is that it is an excellent tool, well suited for a game like Warcraft 3. But no one was able to use it correctly because they were too busy being the best and biggest, instead of actually roleplaying.
