Entry One- Prologue
I am the last of my kind. The Geckosquid were wiped out long ago by a rampaging malevolence that ate away at our ranks until we became a scattered species that lived in fear. One by one, we were hunted down and brutally murdered. I have lived under the sea, only coming out when the safety of the sun bathes Kiwike. But now, I fear that I have been found.

I am beginning this journal for the sole reason that I may soon be killed, and the world must know how. As I look out from the top of the Glass Citadel, wherein lies the room which I call my home, I see something taking shape in the distance. It does not visibly make any sort of movement; it instead glides ever so slowly towards me. In the darkness, I cannot make out its exact shape, but I can feel its evil deep within me...

I have come to a decision. I must arrange for a departure from these lands immediately to preserve myself as well as my species...

It is done. I will be leaving the lands of Kiwike in precisely forty-eight hours. I will invite my dearest friends to see me off. I wish it did not have to come to this, but my death would mean the downfall of my kind. I will just have to hope that the evil does not reach here before I leave...
