Yeah, they said it was because "Steam only updates their games on their own."
Yeah... They do. You send your updates to them, and they update your game... It works just fine, and it keep vicious code out of your games.

That is just a way for them to not seem like greedy bastards. Because Steam requires 25% of the revenue earned from that game.
I wish I was an insane space wizard.
