Day 2-

I apologize if the red splotches make this hard to read, but the X they just carved into the back of my neck hasn't stopped bleeding yet... I can't see it healing anytime soon. Scales grow much more slowly than flesh, so I have a feeling that this will be permanent. Oh, well. I suppose it serves as a good reminder of the evils they've committed...

The center of the X feels odd; like something is wedged in there. I'm probably just delirious from the pain. I should get some rest...
