In my opinion one of the qualities of a roleplayer should be the ability to let go of old characters to test out all the possible ways to have fun because the reason people roleplay is to have fun. think of it like skyrim, sure it's fun to be a khajit thief but eventually you want to move on and try a heavily armored nordic warrior or an ambushing argonian. you should never grow so attached to a character you can't let them go because you'll never experience the billions of other possibilities that you could have if you changed your character. You can't change who you are in real life but try to experience everything while roleplaying. allow yourself to change what you're familiar with and expand your horizons. and in the end you'll be having more fun than you could imagine
