It's just one more stupid thing I have to install, also it will as Yotta has already said, drive away new members. Fact of the matter is that I am object to being required to install any mods and stuff to play on a server, it's stupid.

Repeating the word stupid doesn't make it stupid. It takes 3 seconds to download and install, is faster than the normal client, it has more options, built in macros, coloured chat, and many other features. If players can whitelist, I'm pretty sure they can download spoutcraft while main accepts them. -.- therefore your reasons are invalid.

No, in fact, my reasons are very valid. I personally ( and I'm not the only one that feels this way) would not join a server that required me to use spoutcraft. It is as I said just one more menial time wasting thing I have to go through and I don't view any of the feature as worth it to me that can't be found in a client mod.
