Does this look right?
I want to pump the lava from the tank into the pipe for the Geothermal MK2; I had a bad experience with lava recently, so I want to make sure this doesn't spew out the wrong way. To make it work I just attach a few redstone engines right?

I turned the engines on and they've gone red, but nothing's happened yet, makes me think that the pump is either upside down, or the pipe has to be connected to the bottom of the tank instead of the top.

The geothermal MK2 seems to be set up right idk with no liquid coming. And i thing those engines can explode when their color is red.

If your trying to pump liquid from a tank you do not need a pump, just hook up the redstone engines to the woodern waterproof pipe that leaves the tank to empty and lead it into the generator.
