No, shops are protected by default.

The problem we were having is with thieves turning locked chests into shops and then buying items from the locked chest for a ridiculously small price.

Pretty clever. I'm more prey than predator on Kiwike so I'm somewhat rejoiced that this won't happen to me. Tongue
