A man stands at the inn and hands out flyers

A man, who seems somewhat shorter than most, robed in a dusty and worn tunic, walks up just as the clouds fall before the feet of a tall man in a hood. As he walks, the clouds clear slightly in an aura around him. He walks up beside the tall man with the hood and stops for a moment to rest on the path. "Well well, it appears there are more powerful mages in this world than I had imagined. I can feel your power sir, not many of us are gifted as you. I am but a humble dwarf who tinkers with magic and knows little of its works, but knows enough to feel your prowess. And the darkness that allows you to wield it. Do not taunt the lesser, for even these mages have great potential." The dwarf removes his old tunic and reveals bright white garments, made not of cloth, but of a glittering metal. The clouds around the beings dissipate and show the man with the hood in the sunlight. He raises a hand over his face to shield himself from the light, hissing slightly, but stands his ground. "I may be one of the small, but I am not by any means subject to your grimness and evil aura. Now, do as you will. I for one will be off with this notice to consider what I might do here, as I am interested in all mages working together, but I will not reveal my allegiances as of yet. Good day, sirs."
