RE: Radios (it's probably not what you think)
Off topic, but I felt this is a good enough place to add on.

While the idea of radio is idiotic for this server, chipmonk has a point about the problem of metagaming. It generally ruins the possibilities of RP for the sake of all real character progression when characters are making judgements based off their knowledge outside of their character. It's one thing to talk in parentheses, but to simply give everybody information through skype or teamspeak and have all allied characters know, is no fun for the sake of RP."

Say nobody has warned their fellow citizens about a murderer in game (not even on a message board), but told them over skype to avoid (for an example) lordgodfrey. Then, godfrey, who RP's as a murderer, can never so much as trick an unsuspecting citizen again - and probably never even go in a town without being KOS by the whole town.

This lack of role-played communication generally kills the point of the server (not just in violent examples).

I won't say I'm not guilty myself, as chipmonk implied, EVERYBODY, even staff metagame pretty often. There needs to be a set rule, more definitive procedure/guidelines, regulations, and applicable limitations to ensure a fair game for everybody. The use of RP on the forum, /msg in game, and the use of local range /msg or voice chat need to be outlined.

Without any of this RP regulation, we are pretty much playing on Kiwike 2.0 with nicknames and exaggeration.
