RE: Store Protection = Anti-RP?
Thanks for the move Yotta...
We could just make it a RULE. Any store that is obviously using store protections as way to hold goods will be removed. All items in the store will be confiscated and destroyed.
Obviously being defined as: Any item being sold for an exorbitant amount. Anything over (set) amount.
There is nothing in the game that is truly rare. The exception being some dungeon items. Cocoa Beans, Records and the like should be expected to sell for a reasonable sum to someone that collects.
Example: The Priest of Judas, because of their RP story, cherish Records. It is something they prize nearly as much as the Cross of Judas. So it is something you would expect them to pay handsomely for. If I had such an item I would RP the deal to them and after a price was arranged sell it to them via a store. As much as they want the records they still would not pay more than say 50g.
I cannot in good conscience or with reason see any item in game selling for more than 100 gold. A Solid Block of Diamond wouldn't go for that much.
As the wealth of the individuals on the server grows the limit on stores could rise if need be. Since gold is what allows towns to form and function, I still don't see the sale of items as the main expenditure. Rather, that towns would use this to expand and flourish, hire mercenaries and pay spies.
My solution (as stated above):
Once again make a locked thread at the top of the forum with all the rules including the one concerning stores.
Any store that is obviously using store protections as way to hold goods with no intention of selling will be removed. All items in the store will be confiscated and destroyed.
Obviously being defined as: Any item being sold for an exorbitant amount. Anything over the amount of 101 gold pieces.
If a store is found in violation a moderator will confiscate the goods and send the items into the lava.
Simple try to cheat the system lose your shit!
