Fast Travel Idea

I like the idea of fast travel, but it's probably not going to happen. It's never really been a problem for me, personally, to go "let's walk a couple thousand blocks today to go into town." And that was when I had a computer that averaged around 25 fps on a good day. As to the mention of mobs spawning while you're afk or in roleplay, try not to go afk and carry a sword on you man! If I can fight fair enough at around 20 frames, you can fight about as well with whatever you get. Sorry if I was a little rude there, but I'm just trying to say how it's not all that hard to deal with this stuff.

EDIT: And like yotta said, nether travel makes things a LOT faster. I'm sure every town will have some sort of communal transit system via nether, hopefully with less grief than last time...
