This is better than the last few tries, but you need more of a story in the background information. For example, where and how did Kris grow up? What was his life before Kiwike, and how did he come across the land of Kiwike? You can't just say, "He lived on a land with monsters, he decided to just get up and leave, and all of a sudden he ended up in Kiwike."
