RE: Ban Appeal (Hear me out)
Oddly enough we all came from a whitelisted server long ago and this exact same thing happened. The members started going down, but the server shut down due to money and lack of interest really. I know whitelists do create more dedicated members, but non whitelist servers usually have a constant income of new members.
Enforcing things such as griefing wouldn't be a problem, and in fact there is a really nice faction plug in that would make warring and land claiming much more efficient, if it is wanted I could find it. However I am not entirely sure how one would enforce RP without registration. The advantage would be of course less metagaming, as one would have to develop a character in game as oppose to posting it on a forum for all eyes to see.
I know it seems odd to take the advice "remove the whitelist" from someone who griefed the server not too long ago but I honestly think, with proper moderation and control, it could work out really nicely. Maybe others have different experiences but I personally have had bad experiences with whitelisted servers.
But I digress, this thread is about a ban appeal and I am just derailing this further.
