Official Texture Pack ?

where do I find said texture packs?

The Kiwike Remix of Gerudoku can be found to the right of the website. (Not on the forums though!)

Is it a Recommendation to use the texture pack, or a requirement?

I dont really think its a requirement. I think of it as texture pack i use because i like the style of it and it goes well with Kiwike. But requirement? No.
(At least thats how i view it, correct me if i got it all wrong)

Exactly. I use John Smith's pack atm. myself though.
