As Dj said, the End never even worked with the Stronghold instances so this entire statement is stupid. They were also very flawed and would require a lot of work to get fixed up properly.

I'd rather have community events every now and then where we make a new End instance and let people fight the dragon as well as have the current End for building (Enderman grinders anyone?).
