RE: Three year anniversary!
Well I mean with revamped we had the desire to play because we knew that we would eventually have AGE 1 , 2 , 3 which took ages to implement - that sort of served as 'purpose'.
something simple and RP oriented like that territory system would do wonders if it can be done.
However , knowing the amount of time everyone would be willing to conceive to this , and coding seriously being a real pain in the ass I doubt it could happen. For a server to be successful it needs to have purpose from day 1 , not the entire community waiting a year till it actually happens , because this leaves room for problems to start happening and before we know it the entire server is in disarray. Of course this means that within 3 months of release the server dies.
What I'm trying to get at here is we need a new groundbreaking idea which will serve as the purpose and drive of the server , this is why in actuality the whole territories and kingdoms with the RP twist into it was nothing short of fucking genius , as the drive is created by the players. Heh , add a territory map which would update depending on whatever happens whether it be trade of land or other things and everyone will go mental , because once you give context to something such as "land" and "area" it'll become the basis for things and in a sense a drive for the server.
Of course what problems we faced regarding such ideas was what would govern the principles for it , variables will always exist and many people will go about arguing just to suit themselves (I include myself in this many) and therefore something as broad as "light pvp , heavy rp" doesn't suffice.

Edit : If you really want something that will be enjoyable for yourself and the other 50% of the community try think outside the box , and <3 , some sense of logic from you Yotta. I like.
