Three year anniversary!

I think the map should start out pretty small and THEN expanded a bit after a few nations get set up. This way the actual base of the server can be placed in a moderately small area. (small being like a 1.5k block walk to the next nation)

It would be cool to see some sort of RP with the world being closed off and then expanded later on a few months after the release which could be explained in the lore and still make sense with the cut off faces of the terrain going into the expanded land.

Strict rules to make a nation, one that is actually populated, and nomad towns should make a return. I liked the way territories worked as opposed to towny but it I'm not sure how I feel about that whole dominate land thing. It ended up just being nations taking half the world to themselves just to have that land. There was nothing in those areas thousands of blocks away from their towns that set that land to be theirs.

Maybe if that would be implimented again it could be set up differently. Instead of the king getting a certain amount of blocks a day a moderator could give them said blocks to claim. Those moderators would go to where they are trying to claim and judge wether it can become part of their land. Becoming part of their land could be judged based on what is on that block/around that block. Capital gets say 3 blocks radius, small forts and settlements get that block, one block, ext.

Obviously this would be tough to actually pull off and there would need to be a few "nation moderators" that would actually be willing to do a bit of math to determine the amount of blocks a nation gets for their structures, but it would be better than a nation claiming an entire area of unpopulated and unmarked land to be theirs by an invisible border.

I'd rather see nation blocks being just given to nations based on where they actually live and operate. A nation with more players gets more nation blocks because those more players may mean more spread out area of play.
