RE: Three year anniversary!
I was just reminded by our dear Cerce that I should probably post something in this thread.
Don't really know where to start, I have had so much to do the last couple of weeks, I haven't even given Kiwike a thought.
I haven't played Minecraft in two months. I haven't played vanilla Minecraft since September.
Recently, I haven't even had time - or maybe just different priorities - to watch the Minecraft Let's Play series I've been following for years. I know, right?
What I'm trying to say is that I'm not really feeling Minecraft at the moment. I don't believe in servers where the owner doesn't play or even enjoy the game, or simply doesn't have time to administrate the server.
I love this community and I hate to see it crumbling but there's really not much I can do. When I heard that a lot of you guys who have been discussing a new Kiwike server are working on making another server, I sort of mentally dropped the whole idea of rebooting Kiwike. For a start, I could never compete with a group of people who actually genuinely enjoy the game, secondly there really isn't a point if the people who ARE interested in a new Kiwike are already established on a different server.
And of course some unnamed people have made it clear that they just don't like me being the owner, which is fine. But it just kind of reinforces my belief that rebooting Kiwike isn't a great idea atm.
Those are just some of my thoughts.
Oh, and mc.kiwike.se has been offline for some time. I needed the server for hosting some websites I'm working on, and the Minecraft server was using way too many resources even though no one played on it. I don't know when I could bring it back online, or if there would even be any interest for me to do so.
Fucking ramblings in the middle of the night, man.
tl;dr: Not feeling Minecraft atm, haven't been working on a new server, probably won't for some time, sorry.
