Cerce, may I applaud you for your eloquent speech and your amazing dialogue? No sarcasm in that sentence.

I like the idea of a public safe. It gives people who aren't commited a chance to have their items safe.

Fashionmonkey, the point of an RP is to make things as realistic as possible. Personally, i also would hate getting things stolen, but that doesn't mean that you should make a simplistic re-rendition of the problem at hand. The simplification of that you made had nothing to do with the main point. Don't pull off an ad hominem just because we don't agree with your views. The main thing is that if we want to make this realistic, we do need a much more balanced system between crime and punishment. (I don't think that makes sense) I would enjoy a challenge, anyway....
