I'm hardly scum for betraying the very guild that steals the items of most of the people on the server. This guy needs to be brought down. This isn't right.
"Right" has never been and never will be a concern of my guild. I ask very for very little from my thieves other than unwavering loyalty and a sense of honor. By conspiring against people who trusted him with all they had geckosquid has clearly indicated that he has no such honor and no capacity for loyalty. The guild did nothing to harm geckosquid and plenty to help. The town of New Rapture was considered "insured" free of charge by the guild. When one of our thieves accidentally stole from the town we repaid gecko in enough gold to replace everything our thief took and 20% more than that. In exchange he conspired against us. If you want to trust him feel free but we certainly never will. Sure he makes the claim that he was working against thievery whole time (although before he was caught he was singing another tune indeed), still we did nothing but show him the utmost respect and provide whatever assisstance we could, in exchange he betrayed us all. Just keep that in mind before you entrust him with any secrets. Sure he is your ally now but what happens when the tides shift, what if your nation goes to war against one he likes more or thinks is more honorable? How much do you want to bet he will hesitate just as little about betraying you as he did betraying us?
Anyway, just food for thought. So you can get a real sense of who your allies are.
