RE: The Diary.
Confused, Stug looks at the drunken man. He approaches him and asks him a few questions about whatever he is yelling about.

"Sir, do you mind telling me exactly what you are yelling about? There has never been a road out north, only an unfinished one."

RE: The Diary.
The drunken man turns. Smiling widely as he throws him empty mug away laughing.

“See! He does believe me, I told you I’m not insane!”

He moves closer placing his right hand on the shoulder of stug and makes a now you listen motion with his left hand.

“To the north, no road? Hah! Walk there then. There is one. Relayed remade. Seemingly lightened and everything! I walked it. It stops at the old Viking town where it turns into those old forsaken roads again.. people call me nuts but I saw someone..”

The drunken man stops, burps and looks looking like he remembered he was about to go home.

“He works there on the road or did.. every evening, crazy person.. everyone knows the evenings aren’t save!”

he gives another hiccup before starting to stumble past stug swaying towards his home. Still calling “Like ghosts.. only appearing in the night!”

RE: The Diary.
Stug watches the man stumble away towards his home, he begins to think about the road up north.

If there really is a new road back there, wouldn't that mean..? No, it can't be. I'll have to go check it out myself. Then again, this man was drunk. How am I supposed to believe him?

Stug takes out the wet paper from his backpack and then looks out north towards the road. He puts the paper gently back into his backpack, picks up his pick, walks toward the supposed northern road.

What am I even getting myself into? Listening to a drunk...

RE: The Diary.
Approaching the new northern road past Mavenholm, Stug notices a few pieces of paper in the middle of the road. He places down his pick and goes around picking up all the pieces of paper. He puts them all in, what seems to be, order and reads them off:

"I have to make a new home, a new hope for the builders. Up north is New Haven. Should I make it there?

"Let the others not be forgotten in time. Follow this way, journey anew and know that it is safe."

"Should I continue this road, even if it leads to a place forsaken?"

Stug puts the papers in his backpack and looks farther up the road, towards the old viking city.
