I think the server is losing sight of what bans are supposed to be for. Bans with the purpose of getting revenge for mildly damaged property or against people you dislike or solely on technicalities is not what bans are for. The only purpose those serve os to annoy current and frequent members. Bans should be employed for the breaking of explicit rules in a manner that is detrimental to the community in order to keep the community at the high quality we are accustomed to. For example x-Ray provides unfair advantages to players and thus all proven x-rayers should be banned. Annoying people make others less likely to play and at the point where they are Jyan they should be banned. IMO: People damaging crops cause no real damage or grief and should not be banned. To be a griefer you have to incite grief and I don't grieve every time I plant crops and I doubt anyone else does so either...

I find it funny how the king of thieves makes the most sense in a ban appeal thread.

Indeed.

And if 'griefing' crops is not allowed, aka harvesting and not replanting, I humbly request that you ban me too. I've done it in Dracko, New Haven (before the collapse), and in some other place I can't remember. This makes no sence that just because someone's looking for a loophole to get rid of an apposing leader that they get a ban, when I've done it multiple times and people have been OK with it, or even found it funny.

Besides, I've got Dwarf Fortress to beat if you ban me

Seriously, this is really ridiculous. I thought this was a Roleplaying server?? Stealing some ones crops is very much aloud in any roleplay environment/game. Sure, I dont RP a lot on the server (because of time differences, I never officially know when an event is planned) but I have played a lot of RPG games, from both KotOR to Elder Scrolls III, and I know stealing some ones crops (wether its you or an AI in a game for quests) is not bad enough for a ban.

Therefore, taking them is not destroying someone else's work. You steal food, not destroy it, and stealing is allowed. I honestly don't see what the problem is here.

Well hold now.
Griefing does not even have to mean destorying blocks or buildings.

"Generally, "griefing" is anything you do that interrupts another player’s game experience. " To take it from the rules.

In this case bowser stealing wheat from the town of nova ruining there game experience.
Altho i do find this 3 day period out of line and to long for such a minor act.

I am not going to soley unbann you by myself.
I'll take this back to Kyga who has banned you,

Naam if you start to talk about ruining the game experience like that you might as well not allow stealing on the server at all because it could ruin someones game experience. You might as well ban pvp since someone could say "You killed me now my game experience is ruined " and then that would be griefing.
