Even my computer gets a pretty noticable FPS drop when using Spout. I wish Spoutcraft wasn't so damn clustered with crap.

And like Dj said, we even tried this out but we instantly started getting complaints from people being very annoyed by ore blocks appearing every time they dig somewhere. This isn't a server problem, rather latency problems on the user side.

We might try it again though, seeing as it protects from xrayers much better than the system we have right now.

Ya, I would prefer a more vanilla-like client, rather than the unnecessary mod-filled cesspool that it is

We could have a pre-modded jar for kiwike, that's all I mean by "custom client." I'm just not sure if distributing it is against Mojang terms or not...
