We are changing back to the old one (the one you can see a map of on our website)

Re: Realism
Haha, i don't think they add something, it makes it too easy to travel + it laggs the server!

Like to join a cool city who is soon growing out to the second biggest city of Helvantar? And has order and rules?

Re: Realism
Just so you know, yotta, I downloaded Realms and put it on my personal server. It is very, very easy to use and pretty intuitive. I think it would be a great addition.

You know that there are also add-ons to make NPCs? I think the big one is Craftizens. You can have them give out info about the server or even give out quests. Would be a great way to get new users used to the serer and help them earn some early equipment and cash.

Here's the link to Craftizens:

Yes, I do know about that and me and nsanexer have been talking about it. Still considering though!

Re: Realism
I will talk to yotta later on, I've already thought about adding NPC's, quests and turn in's for differn't items.

NPC1: "Grab me 3 spider webs..."
-You get 3 spider webs after your day of adventuring-
-Returning to npc1-
NPC1: "Ahhh, here a few hundred kiwi :]"

Realms, without set prices.
I believe a map wipe should be issued, although a two week notice for people to stock up on items and we can transfer the items over. Ofcourse this is probably not a good idea, but a good one all together. Hard to say.

Re: Realism
That's exactly what I mean.I think those kinds of quests could give new players some direction and much needed start-up cash. Maybe have early quests that can earn them a set of iron tools also.

I agree with a full map wipe with a two week notice. Of course, I have nothing on the server to call my own, so I'm likely in the minority. I just like the idea of everyone starting out fresh. The whole feeling of everyone in the server pushing out in different directions to claim a nice piece of land. New mines to explore. New creepers to hug. Sounds good to me.

Re: Realism
Well thats what I was saying, first if it's a definate we will have to put in place zoning laws. In between cities.

Seems like theres a problem with people wanting to have 5 neighboring cities lol.

Am also thinking about the plots not having a set price. Yet only people using the level system can obtain a certain size plot.

IF WE IMPLEMENT ANY OF THESE MODIFICATIONS AT ALL. (Just a disclaimer)

Re: Realism
I believe settling in the wilds should be free. You can build what you want. The catch is? No protection. Anyone can come along and tear down your abode. Now, with that Realms mod, you could set it so that players at a certain level can create protected areas for a fee, of course. So, someone could build something in the wilds and think "Hmm... I don't want this place to get burned to the ground and looted by raiders. Maybe I can pay someone to make my home safe." They find out who could perform this deed, a transaction of some sort is made and *bam* protected homestead.

Of course, these same people that can make the zones could remove them. If, for example, they come along and see a house in the wilderness that looks abandoned, and has no indications that anyone is returning (such as a sign that says "Will be gone for a few days." along with the date it was posted), they could leave a sign asking if it is. After a few days they can check back and see if the sign is still there. If it isn't, it obviously isn't abandoned. If it's still there, remove the protection and tear that sucker down.
