I like the way you think sir. Maybe not something like having Terinion sing the rules, but an actual discussion in which the staff members present the argument to the player BEFORE administrative action is taken.

Perhaps, if it is a flame related incident they have to talk it out , if it is actual grief they should be allowed to fix it (without being bullied or killed), if it is hacks - well, actual hacking is a pretty big thing - but depending on the damage done I feel like one should be able to repay their debt somehow and show their actual desire to play on the server without abusing.

Being Cheesy describes doing things that other players find cheap, inferior, or in bad form. Including but not limited to grammar (both on forums and in game), blatant disregard for attempted roleplay, or using bugs in the game to your advantage.

There goes my dream of being a forums moderator Okay

I like having players talk their differences out, and giving players a chance to fix their greifing. But hacks? It's impossible to go to an SMP server while being ignorant to the fact that hcks aren't allowed. I think that if we discover a person hacking, its an instaban. Not a permaban, but enough to let you know that cheating will not be tolerated. Maybe a day or two max. Second time I find you hacking, I WILL permaban. You'd best have darn good appeal to get out of that one.

I think a Skype and/or ts should be required before whit listing, before a ban occurs talk to them in game or call em up on Skype. Explanations could have prevented half of the bans on the list.

RE: The Kiwike Code of Conduct
I concur with seth, skype would make it more fair for players and moderators in situations as serious as banning or warning. From what I've seen, when people get banned they have a limited way of explaining themselves, and sometimes they just get ignored. I would personally prefer a physical conversation when explaining myself for an accusation. Plus, this is a community, we should all have each others skype's anyway. It's nice to talk to you guys Smiley

Discussing with the other staff would be far too tedious at every whitelist.
So I hope that's not what you meant.

RE: The Kiwike Code of Conduct
no no Main i mean every player should HAVE a skype they don't have to talk to join. They would only be contacted by the staff for fun and for punishment related decisions.
A message should be sent out that if they can't talk for a period of time, 3-7 days they get a temp ban, emails should be sent, possibly even text message alerts should be activated.

Ah, now I see. But I'm neutral to that idea.
It can be useful, yes. But I don't feel like forcing people to give us their Skype.
