Definitely agree with money being a great motivation to work harder.

What I'm saying here is don't go into the entertainment industry with money as the driving force because that's just a recipe for failure. Passion should always be the driving force.

The only people I think are cool to make a living off of youtube is Smosh. Mainly because to them it is a full time job, uploading a video like they do takes a lot of work (editing, shooting, special effects, ext.), even if they're stuff may not be as good as something else out there at the time, they are still fun and entertaining to watch. And overall they do a great job. I also like their animations, even if I never watch them, they are pretty good and they got to use their youtube fame to spread it to some new animators. Plus they're hilarious regardless, mealtime with smosh and mail time with smosh are both hilarious.

Smosh? Smosh isn't funny at all anymore. When I watch one of their latest videos, I can only think that they are so desperate for ideas because of the stupidity of the video. They're not funny at all. But I respect them for making their Youtube a priority job.
Now Olan Rogers is funny. And he doesn't make money off Youtube, yet he still treats his account as if he is. I wish more people would be like him in the world.
