RE: Weapon explanation: Genesis' blades
Mm. Please ignore all of the children and their outlandish rage.
You are completely and utterly free to text fight, though we don't enforce it here on Kiwike. We still allow PvP, although the main focus of one's venture should be RP. The description of your blades will no doubt help with any confusion between other text-fighters, but may prove useless to those keen on having their enchantments and button smashing do the work. If you're ever in a situation where you're unsure whether another player will text-fight or not, I strongly suggest asking to clarify.
That said, please excuse the claims against the fact that text based fights do occur on this server.

RE: Weapon explanation: Genesis' blades
Just going to say that this entire thread turned into hating against serious RPers who have had a strong connection to Minecraft RP for a long time.
There were RP servers back in Pre-Alpha, before swords could even be crafted. They have been around longer than PvE and PvP. Please, stop being asshats and trying to flame about people's preferences, opinions, and actions. THis is an RP server first. Describing a weapon does not mean you can suddenly make a gun that kills anyone anywhere. That is Powergaming. He was simply describing his weapons for his character so he could establish how people should react.

That I may have
Another dish."

RE: Weapon explanation: Genesis' blades
Wow... UofM, I am deeply sorry for the reactions the community is having to this. Most of them have a lot of trouble understanding the full ramifications of roleplay, as many came from the previous iteration of this server, which included almost no RP whatsoever. Please feel free to use your own weapons in-game. I doubt you'll encounter the non-RPers, anyways, so you won't have to worry about them ignoring text-based combat. As long as you hang with the right group, you'll be right at home here.
Love,
Gecko

Oh well that's good and thanks for the apology and stuff. I understand the situation you are in. I'll try my best to bring some great Roleplay around with me and show people that it is quite fun

Isn't that in itself powergaming?

There HAS to be certain ways certain things are reacted towards for it to make sense. With this description it adds to the ease of responding to an attack from the blades, knowing how they look and act.

Your improperly describing Powergaming.... That is forcing something on someone else, he is discribing his weapons to alert you WHAT he has, not how it will kill you in one hit ect......

Yes, that's what I've been really meaning to say. You are better at describing things like this than me Mystia

*sigh*
That means that, say your character and Genesis get into a fight and Genesis goes to slash you across the chest. With this you would know that his blades are short and only pointed at the tip, the blades meant primarily for stabbing. Using this information you could properly react to it, whether or not it hit you.
