I guess the real problem occurs when you seek to enforce unwritten rules and the spirit of said rules. For a rule to be enforced, it should be plainly written down and clearly available to the public.

As long as there have been rules, there have been rule-dodgers, those people who will try to find exceptions in the rules and exploit them. Moderators should have the power to stop them

As long as appeals continue to be a thing, and honestly be looked at by multiple staff and discussed, there shouldn't be any real risk to abuse of an open rules interpretation. Checks&Balances and all that.

So now we really do need more dedicated moderators who are not biased towards one side or another... So we need lots of Saera
