A Plea for Moderation

Its a large burden on a brand new mod. a burden in which you do not deserve to take on alone.

I would simply like to say i understand that everyone is mad about there not being enough mods. however what the problem you seem to be bringing up is one that can't be controlled. to put it simply people have lives and though they have a responsibility to the server they also have a responsibility to their friends, family, school, job etc... yotta is very picky about who gets to be moderators because even though a person may be an active and good member of the kiwike community that doesn't mean they'll be good in a leadership position the same goes for anything in real life as well. so before we start complaining about needing more mods ask yourself what if something big or tragic just happened to the person? again i understand that we do need a few mods but remember not everyone who's good at leading a nation will be good at helping solve problems that are of concern to the very rules of the server. but i can agree however that new mods are needed the question then becomes who does yotta believe to be most qualified? we'll see i suppose if someone new gets picked

Action could be taken. A mod can step down and a new application process could be brought through. If something were to happen to me if i were a moderator. I would step down if i was unable to do my duty. I would leave a detailed description to both yotta and droid asking for another application process.

We understand this Andy.
And we never said we wanted someone just because of activity.
We wan't someone who knows what they are doing, and can understand the server.
But someone who becomes mod just to spend 15 minutes on it and get off for the day is not fullfilling their position as a Moderator.
We are not hating on Tristo, Besides i have known him for three years.
We are simple stating, Tristo has a full set of hands.
He has Football, and a Life to.
He doesn't have to donate all his time to Fulfilling the needs of Kiwike, since other Moderators will not get on.
We wan't a mod that can Lead, a Mod that can sit here and play for more than 15 minutes, a mod that will actually get on and help the server.
We don't wan't a mod just because he gets on for hours at a time, But it would be nice.
We want one that can fix these problems that keep coming up that no other mods are on to fix (Other than Tristo).
That, is what we are trying to get across, Not the lack of mods.

And i agree with Granite.
If i had something happen in life that required me to go away for a month, i would step down from my position as moderator.
I would not be fulfilling my duty to the server, and another one that can should take my place.

Andy, I understand where you are going at. But we aren't saying "pick a random mod". We are simply saying that the amount of mods isn't enough right now. We need more, not many, but 1 or 2 to satisfy the needs of the people who play. With the current activity of mods, Tristo can't really handle everything himself.

We've practically just appointed Tristo to be a moderator due to the heavy demands. Let's wait and see rather than pleading for more right off the bat. Most of you should know that almost all of us are seeing an increase in time needed to be set aside for school. We should also keep in mind that school is almost over (One week for me), and as schools comes to an end, I'm willing to bet that there will be a noticeable increase in online time for most if not all players on this server.

Keep calm, let's not rush it.

No offence to this but..

School has been ending for a few weeks now. And since the release of Terraria, mods have gone missing. I'm not trying to bash like I said earlier, but I feel some other mods are taking more time to play other games rather then be on the server that they got mod for. It's a heavy duty for sure and I feel a few mods have recently forgot that.

Understandable. We will watch the attendance of moderators over the course of this next week or so. If it stays the same or possibly gets worse, you know what will be asked for. I will be patient about this, but i want what's best for the server. I am willing to wait a few weeks for attendance to boost.
