Well i am up for unbanning people if they seem nice and just made a mistake. Unless they are dicks and are annoying just leave them banned

This ban happened a month ago, and I can't really show any support for it seeing as I was not present at the time of the banning. His behavior afterwards was extremely immature, though. That's all I know.

Exactly. If he had taken a more mature approach to dealing with the ban originally, the answer might have been different.

Its simple ethics my good friends. If you care about a server enough to write up an appeal a month after the ban, then you should care enough to stop someone from comitting an act that is against said server's rules. Even if people may not find that a valid banning reason, that post alone should be a ban. Heck I'm all for community, but not if that community involves people who will do this type of stuff. Imagine if bvc was an african american and had just suffered a days worth of verbal abuse, he's finally home and logs into minecraft to escape from it all, but his towns been destroyed. He goes to the forums to report it and sees that post. You might say 'loljk', but that doesnt change a thing. Bvc could have taken his life, and it woud have been all your fault. That post was bad, and you should feel bad. We want a cool community, not one full of people like this. You may all think I'm ovverexaggeratting (and repeating consonants) but its happened before, and it will happen again. Join me, and together we can clean out the community.

But even so posting a spam message/swearing on a forum isn't exactly infaban worthy is it? Perhaps it is, especially so combined with the other thing.

Oh well it was worth a try I guess.

EDIT: iDie i'm not even sure how to respond to that. That isn't a even I think you may be a over exaggerating, that is above and beyond such a thing. Everyone else has been pretty reasonable here including gecko but what? I'm not saying that wasn't wrong but seriously? If that is such a big deal how about multiple people who I could list if I needed too who have made directed insults towards african americans (as oppose to just saying a offensive word with no context) on the server, who still are a active part of the community.

Hell you could go on youtube and see more offensive comments on a video as innocent as a national geographic documentary on insects.

EDIT x2: In fact, Bvc happened to be friends with one of the racist people in specific. (not saying you agreed with that ideal or anything bvc but I am just saying that you guys were together at least when we were on)

Its not so much as that word, as it is the action that the word was linked to. Even so, you'd be extremely hard pressed to find someone still playing actively on the server who has said it as obnoxiously and repetitively as he did. Just to clear some things up, I am not of said race, but I am utterly offended by that astounding display of maturity.

Oh really? After a nearly 1 hour session of yelling various racist and sexist slanders by TheGreatNut he received a 1 day ban.

And as for maturity, well.. If you wish I could go there and list names and incidents as well.

But I already said chipmonk and I are not saying we did nothing wrong and are innocent. Especially not me, but for now chipmonk is asking if he can be forgiven for what he had did and come back on. Other then that single incident I could argue that we had a very clean record. However Gecko appears to have made up his mind so that is that. But what you are trying to argue here is silly.

Alright then, I will move to what you've just said. If you both acknowledge that what you did was wrong (As you stated in the above post), than you should have thought more logically. We aren't in kindergarten anymore. Actions have reactions, and repercussions. In my stay on this server, I've seen a few people try to say that they're deeply sorry, but that doesnt get you anywhere anymore. Its time to just admit (well you already have, so I applaud you for that) and live with the consequences.
