RE: Oculus Rift
To bring up an old discussion in this thread, there are some applications which let you simulate a windows desktop in the rift, essentially recreating your screen(s) in VR. It actually works rather well. Only problem is, since the devkit resolution is so low, the applications make your screens waaaay big, so you can read the text on websites and stuff. Like, way big. With my 3 screens, I have to turn my head as far as I can without turning my entire body in order to see the edges. To speak scales, it feels like each screen is a wall that you're sitting one meter away from. So it can be quite difficult to work with. Deskope is the application i tried for the record.
Also, fuck Dreadhalls and all horror games ever. Seriously, we don't need them. Go away.
Also, you think Surgeon Simulator is fun? Try Oculus Rift, Razer Hydra and some friends in the middle of the night. Now that's fun.
