i would love to write a very poorly put together master piece of writing but i can only do that if i know why i am banned.

So people of kiwike why am i on a 10 day temp. ban?

I believe it is from siphoning the money out of the people's bank accounts of Coranis. Atleast the inactive people's bank accounts such as Pavja's. It was the same crime commited by The_Grand to obtain quick/large amounts of gold.

Not at all Granite123 i know exactly what you are talking about.
This is what the guild did: Towny was glitching making it so Nlewis could force people into The_Grand and then tax them.
I used deception to gain the position of mayor in Coranis and then set a rather high tax. I did not hack, glitch, or break any rules by doing this.

oh and when a mod or yotta reads this i am wondering if u can make it so a new rule gets set in place to avoid this.


New rule: If a ban is not a grief or exploit or illegal mod/texture pack then to have a person banned a Ban attempt must be made against the player under "bans".

This will avoid false bans such as this one.

I believe the act Nlewis got banned for was mostly based off of what you did here. They both are the same concept and can be considered abusing the towny mod. But i do agree that because there is no definite rule about this. I think your ban should the decreased by quite a bit if not unbanned. I'm not sure how Yotta or the mods would think of it but that's just my two cents.

well granite i will return his money if this is rule breaking but Nlewis exploited a large glitch in towny whereas i manipulated people to gain access to large amounts of money.
The difference:
Nlewis-exploited a glitch making it so he or she (oooooooooh) had access to other players money without them being able to do anything about it.
jyanowitz-manipulated people which is not glitching at all. To avoid this players such as pavja who are going away for a fair amount of time should leave the current town they are in unless they are mayor.

Jyan is correct, I exploited a bug with towny where i could add people (who were ban) without their consent. I dont think Jyan has broken any rules here, and should be unban.

Regardless, because of towny you dont need /accept to join a town. Siphoning bank money from the town is still considered illegal, atleast from what it appears to be. This thread will have to see many more posts to fully figure out how to deal with a situation like this.

Edit: After seeing Nlewis's post after typing this up. It has swayed me a bit. But still.... the hint. Things are confusing and things need to be clarified.

Hint: Make a rule.

After looking at the other thread, i understand what you are trying to say here. I guess the ban should be removed, but thats not my call.
